Ahmedabad Sizzles at 44.8°C, Outpacing Dubai’s 29°C

The city of Ahmedabad is extremely hot now. It has reached a record high of 44.8°C. This makes it the hottest April day ever recorded in Ahmedabad. Gujarat is experiencing a heatwave. Ahmedabad is much hotter than Dubai. Dubais temperature is 29°C. Dubais weather is mild because of the sea. The humidity in Dubai is 64%. This makes the temperature feel like 33°C. Gujarats weather is critical. Dry winds from the land are making it very hot. The temperature is reaching levels, in Gujarat. Ahmedabad is getting extremely hot. Gujarat heatwave is severe.
The heat is not just in Ahmedabad. Other places are also very hot. Amreli got as hot as 44.5°C Rajkot was 44.4°C and Gandhinagar was 44.2°C. All of these places were over 44°C. The temperature is going up and up in parts of the state. This means that many places are facing a heatwave. Bhuj was 43.8°C Vadodara was 43.0°C and Deesa was 42.8°C. These temperatures are much higher than what's normal for this time of year. The heatwave conditions are affecting regions, including Ahmedabad and other places, like Amreli and Rajkot and Gandhinagar.
The cities that are not near the ocean are really hot.. The coastal areas are not as hot. For example Dwarka and Diu were 32.8°C and 34.5°C. This is a difference from the cities that are not near the ocean.. It is not cool everywhere near the ocean. In South Gujarat Surat was very hot at 41.6°C. This is 4.5°C than what it usually is. It is very uncomfortable for people because it is hot and humid. Porbandar is also very hot. It was 4.5°C more than usual. It reached 39.1°C. The coastal areas like Dwarka and Diu are cooler than places, like Surat and Porbandar.
A key feature of this heatwave is the change, in moisture.The humidity levels went down sharply in the evening in cities inland making the heat drier and the heat stress worse.
For example in Ahmedabad the humidity level fell from 59 percent in the morning to 12 percent by evening.The authorities are keeping a watch as several districts are now meeting or exceeding the official heatwave criteria and the temperatures are expected to stay high in the coming days.
